Joomla site installation is quite straight forward process, but if you are not a tech person you may have some difficulties having site installed. The reason for it is a bunch of new terms and processes that you need to go through while deploying any new site on a hosting.

First of all you need a hosting account which can be a localhost on your home computer or a remote server where you have free space and database to install your site. Then you need to launch your FTP client to copy Joomla installation into your hosting environment. The next step would be creating database and user to provide this information during Joomla install. When it’s done you just need to unzip Joomla files and run installation. Follow the steps to complete installation.

After installation is finished and you have your Super Administrator access you are ready to start filling your Joomla site with relevant content or develop functionality your client asked for. You need to install selected Joomla template, components, modules and plugins. Configure everything and then tweak if needed.
